ELLIPTICAL
DIAGONAL MIRRORS For the past year or so I have had difficulties in securing enough quality machined elliptical blanks above 4.00" minor to keep them in stock. I have recently made a considerable investment to insure that I will always have blanks on hand to fabricate, if not finished in stock. Every part represents a considerable amount of time invested and I appreciate the continued support that many of you have given me over the years. Elliptical Diagonal Mirrors are listed by minor axis size. We use only precision annealed PYREX brand glass and every piece we sell is made in our own optical facility. We have complete control over the quality of our diagonal mirrors from start to finish. All of our Elliptical Diagonal Mirrors are enhanced aluminum coated with maximum reflectivity in the visible range, see coating curve below. All flats are interferometrically tested with our Zygo interferometer. A data analysis sheet with a interferogram photo is provided with each piece. Rest assured, each and every piece is manufactured to “laser quality” specifications. We can produce diagonal mirrors from Quartz in virtually any size & thickness, just ask and I will promptly get you pricing and lead time.
Minimum quality claim* is 1/10 wave P-V on 3.10" or smaller. 1/8 wave P-V on 3.5" and larger. *On any 4" diameter test circle. Interferogram/test data page provided with each part. Each piece is tested & inspected, again, prior to shipment to insure only the highest quality flat work is delivered to our customers. If you do not see a size listed - please inquire for a quotation. We do elliptical diagonal mirrors up to 7" minor and round optical flats up to 24" diameter. We can also provide special coatings and substrates if you should need them.
